I have seen the task God has given humanity to keep us occupied. He has made everything suited to its time; also, he has given human beings an awareness of eternity; but in such a way that they can’t fully comprehend, from beginning to end, the things God does.

IN YOUR TIME

Behold, I am making all things new

You speak, deep unto deep

But my eyes turn downcast

There below.

Reeds are swaying

In rustling wind

Waters green, there below

Basket woven, her hands release.

My heart trembling

I see the babe

Your precious gift

From her hands: taken.

Behold, I am making all things new

You speak deep unto deep

My eyes to waters green returning

Christ, an anchor to my soul.

In the breaking, my eyes

Open to see You there

Oh did our hearts not burn

Within us all along?

Kairos: Your precious gift

Is faith freely given

In memorare

Love's multiplying.

Basket returning, to shouts of joy.
