I Will Remember Your Honey and Take Eat
Sabbath resting my heart in Your Word
16 December 2015 in Arrowtown, New Zealand. Waking early to drink in God’s Living Word to me, 20 months after burying my Mum.
Today, we celebrate Sinter Klaas (Saint Nicholas) here in the Netherlands. Saint Nicholas was a Saint (source: Who is St. Nicholas), whose wealthy parents … raised him to be a devout Christian, [but] died in an epidemic while Nicholas was still young. Obeying Jesus’ words to “sell what you own and give the money to the poor,” Nicholas used his whole inheritance to assist the needy, the sick, and the suffering. He dedicated his life to serving God and was made Bishop of Myra while still a young man. Bishop Nicholas became known throughout the land for his generosity to those in need, his love for children, and his concern for sailors and ships.
In honor of this Saint, who experienced the devastating loss of his parents at such a young age, to later become God’s comfort to so very many, I am sharing an edited version of a poem I first published on the 28th of June, 2022, as part of my blogging series 31 Days of Birthing Shalom.
Saint Nicholas pray for us that we, like you, may become God’s comfort to many, many others. Pray that we may, as you did, by the power of the Holy Spirit at work within us, shower those God sets before us in the eternal gifts of faith, hope and love that God has so generously bestowed upon us, in the emptying of our earthly hands. Pray that the physical gifts we give people this month may, through God’s grace at work in us, become a sweet and tangible expression of God’s love, opening the eyes of the hearts, we give these gifts to, to the never-forsaking love of their Heavenly Father for them and their families.
Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.
Ezekiel 37:5 ESV
I AM Awaking
There’s not a day
Goes by
I don’t remember
How far
You’ve come.
There’s not a day
Goes by
I don’t see
The labor pain
You’ve borne.
Always and forever
From the throne room
My heart’s pouring out
Living waters rushing
For you to know Me more.
Ever more in My death
And resurrection
Sweet mercy
Taste now in heaven’s
Dew ever glowing.
My manna’s
From the sky here falling
Know there’s not a day
Goes by
You’re all alone.
As you Sabbath
Rest your heart
Lift my Word afresh
In your bosom hid
My honey, take eat.
My Body broken
My blood shed
Come and feast
At My table in the
New wine ever flowing.
In the tears
And groaning
See a new heart awaking
The love of the Father
No longer hidden, freely given.
Into your hands I’ve emptied
See harmony’s song
In Christ’s leading thought arising
Behold: truth’s kissing grace
Dove’s eyes, pure blue revealing.
In Heaven’s cloud opening
Tears in joy I’m reaping
Each day anew
Run your race into kairos
I’m the Way
In the wilderness
See Eden in your desert
Blooming
In rainclouds
All things new unfurling
See in your body
My Body
Freely given
For the joy
Set before us here:
The dry bones
I AM
Awaking!
Ezekiel 36: 33-36 NRSVCE
Thus says the Lord God: On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the towns to be inhabited, and the waste places shall be rebuilt. The land that was desolate shall be tilled, instead of being the desolation that it was in the sight of all who passed by. And they will say, “This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined towns are now inhabited and fortified.” Then the nations that are left all around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places, and replanted that which was desolate; I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do it.

So precious, speaking today of that honey hidden in our heart that is Him. Amazing! Just what I've been praying today. Thank you dear Anna
Lovely, Anna. We awaken by His love, mercy, and grace.
