Welcome to the YADA Podcast for June 2025, where we gather around the Word of God to come to know Christ in greater intimacy throughout our month. This month we are resting in 1 Peter 2:1-5 (NRSVCE).
Each podcast, we move through four steps:
A repeated reading with a petition for God to open our hearts to know Him through His Word (Yada the Word).
A petition for the Holy Spirit to stir memories from the past that help us to Amen the Word, to say: yes, Lord we know this Word to be true, for we have seen its truth in our past (Amen the Word).
A petition for God to help us not just be hearers of this Word but doers of this Word, this month (Do the Word).
A petition for God to help us adore Him through this Word, to take the time to sit at His feed in Adoration, to take the time to linger in His Presence, honoring and adoring Him for who He is (Adore the Word).

So precious. I really did see this exact process happening in my brother over the last 2 months of his life. God was so near, and working so beautifully to bring him to that place of a newborn babe so hungry for His Word and for His ways. And I watched him being built into that spiritual house of God. Oh Lord, let it be so in me also. Amen.
